$10 would do.
Here's the skinny. No one likes this disease. And I don't like to swim anymore.
Once one has been a competitive swimmer, swimming comes easy. Out of shape, mile swims are no longer completed in under 30 minutes. But that's okay. That's a small sacrifice in how I hope to honor those who have survived cancer.
I'll be out there at Ohio Street beach Saturday August 6, 8AM. Come on by. Better yet, come on in...the water's fine!
Here's a quick overview of SAA & Cancer:
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. I am challenging myself by swimming in the Chicago Open Water Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. Please support me by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
