Swim with me on Team Matt
Cancer impacts so many of our lives. It has impacted my family way too much in recent years. Most recently with loss of my brother Matt last fall.
On August 12, I will be participating in Swim Across America - Chicago. I am pulling together a team in honor of Matt who lost his fight with pancreatic cancer in October 2021. Matt had a huge impact on so many lives across his many diverse passions. I didn’t truly realize how significant this impact was until I got to know more of the communities Matt immersed himself in within Chicago. I hope in some small way to carry on part of Matt’s legacy by supporting the fight against cancer directly in Chicago and beyond.
Many of you also may not know that Matt swam competitively for a few years growing up. We were teammates in swimming (and baseball, basketball, football and track as well as ‘partners in crime’ in some childhood and teenage adventures too)
In honor of Matt, please consider joining me on Team Matt in Chicago as either a swimmer, volunteer or just to cheer everyone on.
If you are able to do so, please consider supporting Team Matt by making a donation to Swim Across America - Chicago. Proceeds from the swim will remain in Chicago to support early-stage research and clinical trials for a variety of cancer types at the Swim Across America Lab at Rush University Cancer Center
Thanks for helping making a difference in the fight against cancer!!!!
