Welcome to My Personal Page
Hello!
Did you know that in our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.
Cancer has impacted my family and many close friends for most of my life. I am certain that many of you are in the same situation. This disease is ugly and very persistent. Most recently, 12-15-20, my husband Bill was diagnosed with AML.
He survived a stem cell transplant on 5-3-21 and is still struggling nearly every day to feel stronger overall. A few of his latest goals are to make it through a work week, travel, play golf, fish, and increase his energy level.
Bill is fortunate to have the opportunity to set goals. Many cancer patients never get this chance. I am swimming in remembrance of my cousin, Amy. She lost her life to neuroblastoma just before her 14th birthday.
I am swimming for Bill and all our family and friends who have been impacted by cancer.
I am swimming for all the children, moms, dads, grandparents, and anyone fighting this awful disease in hopes that your donation will help fund the research necessary to find a cure for all cancer.
If you are able, please support me by making a gift. The researchers we are funding are in our community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives. Thank you for helping make an impact in the fight to find a cure!
