Welcome to My Personal Page
Hi. While I have enthusiastically participated in many prior Swim Across America events, I never dreamed that I would be honoring someone in my own family. On May 16, 2016 I lost my husband Rob to an undetected melanoma. Our son Max lost his dad far too early.
It has taken me more than a minute to rejoin Team Life. Losing someone to cancer comes with many overwhelming emotions. However I can say that watching my husband benefit from the latest treatment advances gave us hope. It also let us know there was an army of researchers working on his behalf. We felt less alone.
Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
This is why I love Swim Across America. I would be honored if you would support me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal.
Thank you for helping me #MakeWavesToFightCancer.
