Alondra & Dad - Swim Across America 2024
My name is Alondra Beening and I am 14 years old. I have been swimming my whole life, and have been on a team for over six years. I have always wanted to swim this with my dad since I was younger, and I am so happy to finally have this opportunity.
Unfortunately, I have had friends and family members who have been diagnosed with cancer, some of which I have lost. I want to dedicate this swim to them. I will be swimming one mile in Lake Michigan on August 3rd.
In MEMORY of Ursula Merten (family friend), Bob Beening (grandpa), Christina Wallace (teacher), Justin Maack (family friend), Germaine Gomez (tio), Abraham Arguello (great-grandpa), Carol O’Connor Riesmeyer, George and Rita Cook, and Raul Castro.
In SUPPORT of Shirley Cook (nana), Leo Cook (grandpa), Debbie Gomez (aunt), and Patricia Potthast
Love,
Alondra
