Polar Bears

Welcome to team Polar Bears!  This years swim will be in honor of Jack Baker who passed this April of pancreatic cancer. The team name come from Jacks favorite animal or better put the bear he felt most kindred with.  Polar Bears are the biggest bears in North America, one of the strongest and toughest animals who also happened to love the snow and all things cold! All of these things Jack Baker embodied.

Polar Bears are also known for their strong swimming abelites which is what Grete, Carrin, Michelyn and Andra will do to help raise money for cancer research at Rush University.  These Polars will swim a combined total of 5 miles with a goal of raising $5,550.  Help these Polar Bears reach their goal by donating!  Donate to the team or click on the specific bear with to donate too!

Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.

No one fights cancer alone. Our team joined Swim Across America because we believe in their mission and want to help give more families hope. If you’re able, please support us by making a donation to help us reach our fundraising goal.
