2024 Dallas Open Water Swim

Team Mustang

Team Mustang is the number one fundraising team over the 12 year history of the Dallas Swim Across America event. Made up of former SMU Swimming Alums, friends and family we continue to make waves against cancer thanks to the support of our generous donors. 100% of the fundraising benefits local cancer research and treatment.

Why do we swim?

We have lost several SMU Swimming & Diving alums to cancer and most recently we lost our former coach, Eddie Sinnott. We swim in his memory and the memory of all those Mustangs taken too soon by cancer.

More than 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Tens of millions of people have loved ones diagnosed with cancer and Team Mustang is working to change that one swimmer at a time.

Since the first Dallas open water swim in 2011, Team Mustang has generated over $300,000 for cancer research, treatment and prevention through the Swim Across America Dallas open water swim in Lake Ray Hubbard.

Please help us make an impact in the fight to find a cure by making a tax deductible contribution. Your donation will help fund Phase One Clinical Trials at the Swim Across America Innovative Clinical Trials Center (ICTC) at Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center in Dallas, TX.

You can make a credit card donation by clicking on one of the members of our team or by making a general donation to Team Mustang.

Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
