Welcome to My Cancer Killing Page
In the USA, 1 out of every 2 men, and 1 out of every 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. That's the bad news. Cancer has certainly affected my family and I'm 100% positive that everyone reading this knows someone who is fighting cancer right now.
The good news is that cancer deaths are down 33% since 1991! That is due to the incredible advances in treatment and detection.
How do these treatments and detection methods become available?
It starts right here, with you and me.
Swim Across America donates to Phase 1 clinical trials at cancer centers across the country.
The Dallas chapter of SAA sends the money we raise to the Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center at Baylor Medical Center. They are doing truly amazing stuff, and are even working on a simple blood test for early cancer detection!
Thanks to our corporate partners, 100% of your donation will go to this truly worthy cause. The goal this year is $2000. I won't ask anyone to do anything I would not do myself. I will match the first $500 donated, and I'll swim a mile in the muddy waters of Lake Ray Hubbard. If you are able to, please consider donating to this cause.
