What an honor to get to participate in this amazing event for a FOURTH year! When I was first introduced to SAA in 2019, I had never been in open water as a swimmer before. During that first ever mile, I fell utterly in love with it, and was then fortunate to get to join the CROWS to keep up the lake swims - even though I swim in a bit of a casual "league of my own" among some of the most elite swimmers in the world. Swimming in open water is such a gift, and now there is a way to give to others while doing it.  In rain, shine, wind or snow, I think ahead to the early morning in August where so many will gather again at Chatfield Reservoir to swim to help raise money for cancer research at Children’s Hospital. 

Thank you for your support and belief in me....I sincerely appreciate it! Here's to breaking another "PR" this year ;)...being a "Wavemaker" ....and certainly being the happiest person to ever come in last! Counting down the days to be a small part in helping to find the cure.
