While I may not be brave enough to be a swimmer, I am supporting Swim Across America because I believe in the importance of cancer research and want to support Julie Brabbs, a special friend at Rogel Cancer Center who had cancer recur. This event raises money for one goal and 100% of the funds raised go toward that goal - funding innovative cancer research that leads to breakthrough, lifesaving treatments and preventative measures.

Swimmers will be swimming across the Detroit River on July 7, 2023 to support cancer research at Rogel Cancer Center - Michigan Medicine. For the past 36 years Swim Across America has been sponsoring these events across American cities and has raised over $100 Million to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer care. Every year brings more discoveries through research and improved outcomes for cancer patients.
