Welcome to Richard’s Swim Across America Page.  Swim Across America raises funds to support those high-risk, high-reward trials and cancer research that none of the Big Pharma companies can touch because they answer to shareholders.  SAA’s 20+ annual swims around the country have raised over $100 million toward this goal, directly resulting in 4 FDA-approved drugs.  The most high-profile of these successes is Merck’s Keytruda.  Every single dollar of your contributions will go to fund cutting-edge work at Miami’s Cancer Institute.  Richard spent decades in the ocean and passed his love for the water onto his children and grandchildren, never thinking that the swimmers he created would one day be facilitating the fight against cancer that would take him far to soon.  Thank you for contributing to our dad’s legacy of helping others!
