Welcome to Peter's Personal Page
Every year I hope that I can say that I don't know anyone who is currently fighting cancer, but that never seems to happen. Both of my wife's brothers have been fighting cancer over this last year and we pray that they both beat this dreaded disease. I am swimming in honor of both of them this year and hope to raise a lot of money for Swim Across America to continue to fund the great research that is being done with the dollars that we raise.
This swim is for the benefit of the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy in Stamford, CT which funds some of the world's best cancer researchers and scientists around the country. They are making great progress in their research and their results are what is helping to keep others alive today.
I am leading Team Julian once again to continue the legacy of Julian Fraser, a wonderful young man and a close family friend who lost his battle with osteosarcoma in 2017 at age 20. Julian's legacy is being preserved through this team of dedicated friends, swimmers, and fundraisers, and as long as I am able, I will swim and raise money in Julian's memory, and for our family and friends who are fighting the battle, or who have lost the battle with cancer.
Would you please join me in supporting and honoring our friends as we make waves to fight cancer?
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that. I am challenging myself by swimming three miles in the Fairfield County Open Water Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. Please support me by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure.
You can make a credit card donation in the link on this page, or you can send a check payable to Swim Across America, PO Box 681, Riverside, CT 06878.
Thank you for your generosity and may it help lead to a cancer-free world!
