We all know how cruel cancer is.  Last month, I learned it’s also cunning and conniving.

When my mom received a cancer diagnosis in January, we thought we knew what we were dealing with.  Six rounds of chemotherapy successfully shrank her tumors. But not all of them.  Why?  Because cancer is devious.  It hides and it masquerades. What was thought to be one type of cancer was actually two types of cancer. Cancer is smart.  

I BELIEVE WE CAN OUTSMART CANCER.

That’s why I am passionate about Swim Across America - Fairfield County.  l believe that the innovative gene and immunotherapy research we fund through our local beneficiary, Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy, will continue to lead to improved treatments and eventually, to a cure.

I BELIEVE THE ROCKSTAR SCIENTISTS AND DOCTORS WE FUND WILL OUTWIT CANCER.
