In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. I am challenging myself by swimming in the Fairfield County Open Water 3 mile Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. 

I am swimming with Team Julian. Julian was a top swimmer and captain of the Greenwich High School swim team three years before I was on the team. Sadly he died of cancer at just 19 years old. Also, my mother, who was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor when I was just an infant. luckily has survived her cancer thanks to previous cancer research that saved her.
