In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.
If you are able, please support me by making a gift. The researchers we are funding are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives. Thank you for helping make an impact in the fight to find a cure!
Swim Across America has had to create a new format for 2020 as our world has been battling covid 19 . Large gatherings cannot happen including open water swims to fight cancer , however cancer is not going away and we need to continue to help raise money for research to find a cure. The new format for SAA is for each participant to set their own personal challenge to fight cancer as we cannot swim as a group.
Nineteen years ago I ran the New York Marathon with my good friend, Melissa Norrgard , my personal challenge for SAA will be to walk a marathon distance of 26 miles ,with Melissa ,in two days July 11 Th and July 18 Th . If you can join me on the walk please do even if it is a couple of miles it will make the journey much more fun.
I know everyone of us has been affected by the events of the last couple of months , I appreciate any donation you can make to this cause that has affected too many of my close friends of all ages . I am walking for Team Julian as we storm the heavens to help find a cure in honor of Julian Fraser who lost his life when it should have been just beginning.
Thank you and I know Melissa and I would love to see you on the road.
