I participated in my first Swim Across America event in 2002 and have been an avid supporter of this charity ever since. I believe in their mission to raise money for innovative cancer research, with the goal of discovering breakthrough cancer treatments and therapies.  This year I will swim a 5K in honor of my father-in-law, Alan Kappel, who lost his battle to prostate cancer last summer.  If you are able, please support me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal.
