Let’s face it…everyone wants to hear the three words…I Love You. No one wants to hear…You Have Cancer. We're passionate about Swim Across America Fairfield County because we know we can help more cancer patients hear…There Is Hope.
On Febraury 5 we lost Bonnie Bancroft after a valiant 11-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Bonnie's legacy lives on in her beloved husband, Ned, her children Nicky, Freddie, Corey and Auggie and the community of friends near and far who loved her dearly.
Bonnie embodied everything good and right in the world and made each of us want to be a better person. In the words of some of her friends, Bonnie was "class, elegance, sunshine, kindness and fun personified." "We are all richer for having known and loved Bonnie." She "made the most of the time she had, just deserved a little more time."
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. We joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. We are participating in the Fairfield County Personal Challenge 2020 and raising as much money as we can to fight cancer.
Please support us by sponsoring our Personal Challenge 2020 and making a gift. The money you donate will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure.
Or join our Bonnie's Buddies team with a Personal Challenge of your own! ANYONE and EVERYONE can participate in this "any-activity" fundraising challenge as we make virtual waves to fight cancer. Choose your activity and goal: walk, run, golf, swim, kayak, bike, dance, climb. Just click the Join Team button.
You can make a credit card donation by clicking the Donate Now button, or send a check to Swim Across America, c/o Jacque Lang, 14 Little Ridge Road, Ridgefield, CT 06877
Checks should be made out to Swim Across America but please include a note mentioning our team or the participant you are supporting!
Thank you for helping us to make waves to fight cancer.
