Besties for Testes
As many people close to me know, I am a two-time testicular cancer survivor. My second time fighting was pretty rough, but luckily I received amazing care and support from the employees and facilities of the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina. I honestly can say that I don't know if I would be here today without them.
Since my treatments ended in July of 2018, I've often struggled walking the line between diving head first into around the clock advocacy for cancer awareness and trying to put that period of my life behind me for good. Unfortunately, in our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. Me forgetting my past isn't going to stop that. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can hopefully change that.
If you are able, please consider supporting me by making a gift. The researchers we are funding at the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina are in our community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers.
Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives. As a former patient, thank you for supporting me and for helping make an impact in the fight to find a cure!
