If you know my family and our story, you know we've been volunteering with SAA since 2018, which started as circumstance and grew to mean so much more. This year, I'm joining in on the swim in support of my mom. Not only is she the event director, but a breast cancer survivor as well. My role in this event has only grown over the years, and it's about time I experienced the core part - the swim! In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.
