Friend, neighbor, distinguished veterinarian, scout leader, coach, teller of Dad jokes, handyman, advice giver, outdoorsman, pilot....

This barely scratches the surface...there are a million adjectives, stories, and anecdotes to describe Dr. Robert (Bob) Simmons.  Yet even if documented 1000 times over, they would never do justice to describe the man that we were blessed with knowing and sharing our lives with.  Of all the words that could be used, there is just one that serves to motivate this team for this cause...Dad.  

Our Dad was taken by cancer far to early.  Despite overwhelming odds, in his true fashion he fought tooth and nail against an insidious enemy.  He raged against the dying of the light.  Even at the end of his journey, he was the epitome of grace, class, and strength.  

Team RDS Tigers will continue this journey...because there is nothing our Dad would have wanted to do more than help others.  While he may have fallen in this battle, his memory and legacy will not.
