Welcome to My Personal Page
Why Swim Across America? There are a couple reasons that I am so happy to join in on helping with this amazing event. The first is, 35 years ago in 1988 I was a high school YMCA swimmer – An Olympian, Named Craig Beardsley had agreed to be our new head coach – The rest is history. For me I never same faster and loved it when my teammates and I along with Coach Craig traveled to Florida for YMCA Nationals. I have stayed in touch with Craig over the years and have watched all the amazing things he has done. His love of swimming and amazing fundraising efforts on behalf of Swim Across America are inspiring.
My Providence College Coach, John O'Neil, is also a big supporter of SAA inthe RI area. I have seen the awesome impact it has.
I, to this day, love open water and pool swims. – this is my first year helping and swimming in this event – I Can’t wait!!!–
I also am honored to participate in honor of my friend Stefanie- She is my workout partner in all things we do – ocean swims- runs – yoga on the beach – I am blessed to have her as a friend .. I will be swimming for her, as she continues to recover from her battle with cancer – stronger than ever – I have learned so very much from her…
Please consider joining and our supporting me on this swim -- It does make a difference.
Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
I joined Swim Across America because I believe in their mission and want to help give more families hope. If you are able, please support me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal.
Thank you for helping me #MakeWavesToFightCancer.
