In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer.
I joined the SWIM ACROSS AMERICA community twenty-five years ago so that, together, we can change that. TEAM SABATINI was started 17 years ago in memory of my father, Bill Sabatini, who lost his battle with cancer in 2004. In the peacefulness of the water, we swim to remember him and all our other family and friends who have lost their battle or are currently fighting a battle with cancer. Last year I swam especially to remember my Uncle Bill O'Malley, who lost his battle, as well as a childhood friend, Julienne Morris Calloway. This year I swim especially for friends battling and winning their own fight against cancer.
I am always honored at the year's Swim Across Americal kick-off meeting to meet some of the doctors and researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering. There has been much progress over the years as a direct result of Swim Across America fundraising and our fundraising continues to be important to continue this progress.
Our swim event has changed this year due to COVID. I will be swimming a mile each day for the month of July as well as swimming in the Long Island Sound on the original event day and raising as much money as I can to fight cancer.
Please support me by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention, and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
You can make a credit card donation here, or send a check to Swim Across America, PO Box 217, Larchmont, NY 10538. Checks should be made out to Swim Across America and please include a note mentioning my name, Carolyn Fay, or TEAM SABATINI, as the swimmer (or TEAM) you are supporting!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
