Welcome to My Personal Page
This is my 23rd year swimming with Team Kelly. I started this in honor of my father who died of melanoma, followed closely by my mother who died of pancreatic cancer. But in these intervening years, cancer has touched or taken more of my family and many of my friends--including my law school classmate and close pal, Richard Levick, who did this swim with me twice, died in April and in whose memory I swim this year. Core members of our team have been affected by cancer in different ways--John Dierkes lost his wife, Ellen, Chris Kelly has just survived cancer of the larynx, I had big scares last year plus a parade of skin cancers removed. (who knew baby oil and reflectors would turn out to be an bad idea?) So we still need to join together to help raise money to combat this indiscriminate disease, support those who struggle to survive it and honor those who have been taken from us.
My ask isn't for me--it's for those who are gone and those who press on and the medical research geared to stop this scourge. There are few nice dinners out for two that cost less than $100 so would you contribute at least that cost to help fight cancer (and remember it is tax deductible) ?
Any amount of support helps; Our swim is July 29 -and I have a personal goal of $30,000 --but to avoid me stalking you, please just click the link below today. Many thanks as always.
