Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Friends,
This our 32nd year of the Long Island Sound Swim. We have raised over $25 million. My family has been involved from the first year. My son Daniel was diagnosed in 1991 with stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma. His tumor was inoperable and spread to both lungs. He was treated at NY Presbyterian Childrens Hospital. Through an experimental protocol he is in remission for 33 years, and is now married to Liz and they have two beautiful daughters. This year I am swimming in memory of my cousin Debbie who passed away from lung cancer in 2015 after a valiant, brave battle. Also dedicating my swim to my friend Will who passed away from leukemia, Caroline 11 years old who passed away from childhood cancer & Scarlett 8 years old from a brain tumor, Charlie, Stacey, and all my friends. Also want to dedicate my efforts in honor of Clair, Lucille, Wendy & Nicholas who are in remission , and my friends going through treatment
With our group in Westchester County we are continuing to fight cancer. Our beneficiaries are:
- Cancer Support Team – Purchase, NY
- Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital at New York Presbyterian, New York
- Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center - New York, supporting the labs of Luis Diaz and MSK Kids working on cutting edge cancer research.
- Swim Across America Lab at Cornell Weil
Thank you for your help.
