Bruce Dunbar has been a friend and teammate of mine since we were young age group swimmers. Bruce is year older than me and I chased him up and down the pool as kids and then I followed him to Princeton, where we continued to swim - AND WIN - together. On July 27th, I am thankful - and feel fortunate - that I will get to swim with Bruce again in the Long Island Open Water Swim with Swim Across America as we swim to raise money to fight cancer. This swim is not a race but we are going to WIN AGAIN! You see, Bruce is a survivor of lung cancer due to a revolutionary immunotherapy treatment that was developed through efforts like this one. In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. We need more wins like Bruce's so please support me by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
You can make a credit card donation here, or send a check to Swim Across America, PO Box 217, Larchmont, NY 10538.
Checks should be made out to Swim Across America but please include a note mentioning my name as the swimmer you are supporting!
