This year, several of our close friends, who swim a 10k in this event every year and raise a tremendous amount of money for cancer research, are dedicating their swim to Valerie and her fight against Multiple Myeloma. While I doubt I would make it 25 feet swimming with these guys, I will be kayaking across the Sound trying to keep them on course and safe. This is a worthy cause, and I ask all of you to make a donation, not only for Valerie, but for everyone affected by cancer.
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
