I joined Swim Across America as part of team Swim For The Fish. in honor of our good friend Matt Fish who lost his battle to cancer in November 2021.   

I will be swimming not only for Matt but for so many other friends who have battled or are battling cancer today.  Each one of them will be on my mind as I swim on Saturday morning.  Swimming is definitely not my thing, it can be scary and hard but those fighting cancer are so brave and strong I will think of them and raise funds for a cure for cancer in the near future. ​

Please join us July 27th as either a participant or a donor for Swim For The Fish as we swim 2km in the Long Island Sound as part of Swim Across America's mission to raise funds for cancer research.  

After living here for 14 years I finally participated in the swim in 2022.  I now consider it to be one of the best days in our community!  This event is truly incredible and something that should not be missed.  We all know someone who has battled cancer, whether you decide to swim is up to you but I would encourage you to participate as a volunteer or part of the cheering squad.
