Hey Y'all!
I participated in my first Swim Across America 11 years ago when I was 13. I have participated in this event almost every year since and am honored to be doing so again this year, alongside my friend (and boss), Tim Farley! Tim & I are raising money in honor of all Mothers who have struggled or are currently struggling with cancer. Please check out our team page "Swimming for Moms" to learn more about what this swim means to Tim and our community!
I have joined the Swim Across America-Nantucket family so that I can continue to give cancer patients hope by raising funds to support on-island cancer treatment and patient care. Swimming has always been a huge part of my life and I am very grateful to be able to do something meaningful with what I love. Proceeds directly support Nantucket Cottage Hospital's oncology program which brings world-class oncology services to Nantucket, allowing patients to access much of their cancer care close to home, without the cost and stressful burden of off-island travel. Many of these cancer services are performed in the new state of the art Swim Across America Infusion Center. Similarly, SAA - Nantucket funding that supports Palliative and Supportive Care of Nantucket allows them to provide direct care and services on the island to patients and families who are coping with cancer, free of charge.
Every bit helps and will make a huge impact on those fighting cancer on Nantucket.
