SWIM ACROSS AMERICA - NANTUCKET INFO
ABOUT

Even in these uncertain times, we can continue making waves to fight cancer. As we navigate COVID-19, we've created a special webpage for event updates, helpful information and ways you can continue to support the mission of Swim Across America.

Swim Across America began as a relay swim from Nantucket to Hyannis in 1987 and has now evolved to 21 open water swims and dozens of pool swims around the country. We brought back the tradition of SAA on Nantucket in 2012 with annual swims each summer.

Our annual events consist of hundreds of swimmers (including Olympians) at a gorgeous venue for a day to remember. Distances include a Kids’ Splash or ¼ mile, ½ mile and 1 mile options. We even have a 4 mile option for our long-distance swimmers.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we are unable to have a live in-person event this summer. Alternatively, we will be offering the following options discussed further below:

  • Virtual “Coast to Coast” Challenge/ Personal Challenge
  • Move the Rock - Virtual Swim, Bike, Run Challenges

If you have any questions about SAA - Nantucket, please contact Jill Roethke or Jim Pignato.
