Nantucket Open Water Swim

2018 Team Roethke
2018 Team Roethke

Team Roethke

We are thrilled to be a part of Swim Across America Nantucket for the 8th year! Thank you to everyone who has supported Swim Across America and Team Roethke in the past and welcome to our new friends and supporters. We are proud to report that Team Roethke has raised over $100,000 since 2012.

All money raised stays on-island for cancer treatment and patient care benefitting the Nantucket Cottage Hospital (NCH) and Palliative & Supportive Care of Nantucket (PASCON).

This past year, part of our dreams came true! In June, TEAM ROETHKE had the honor of touring the brand new "Swim Across America Infusion Center", designed and dedicated to providing cancer patients with state-of-the-art treatments right here on Nantucket. You can imagine how thrilled we were to listen to doctors, nurses, and patients express their gratitude for this long-awaited facility and the critical services provided there.

But our mission continues. On August 24, TEAM ROETHKE will be there once again as swimmers, volunteers, and donors. As in the past, we will be joining over nearly 300 swimmers in the open water swim. Tyler & Steve will each also participate in the 4 mile swim!!!!  We ask that you consider making a donation by check or by credit card, made payable to ”Swim Across America – Nantucket”. You can direct the donation to any one of the members of Team Roethke.  No amount is too small – whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated. Simply click on the link here for instructions about how to donate online. If paying by check, please mail your check to Jill Roethke, 14 Bluebird Lane, Nantucket, MA 02554.

We hope we can count on your support – together, we can indeed continue to Make Waves Against Cancer!
