Swim Across America ! We are Back!
Thanking God and science the worst is past us in this challenging pandemic. My prayers go out to all those impacted by Covid-19.
Thank you for so generously supporting my 2,020 miles in 20 weeks SAA Personal Challenge. It was a lot of (solitary) fun completing this crazy goal and especially enjoyed my long bike rides in the Berkshires.
After many months of WFH in my attic, no swimming, it's done amazing things for my buoyancy :) but not so much for my endurance. I am feverishly back at it preparing for my next 10k Swim July 31 with a few other crazy friends. I will join my Nassau-Suffolk mates August 7 for an additional 1 mile swim and celebration.
Unfortunately there is no vaccine for Cancer. Thanks to our generous donors, SAA beneficiaries are making great advancements in Immunotherapy medicines, treating pediatric oncology, lung cancer, brain cancer and more.
If you've followed my previous years messaging, you'll know cancer has wreaked havoc on my family, with many passing well before their time. I swim in their memory and in the hope the science we support will provide a long and healthy life for those afflicted by cancer.
I'll keep swimming as long as you keep supporting me! If inspired, we are always looking for more swimmers and volunteers.
Matching gifts by your employer turbo charge my swim !
Warmest thanks and sincere gratitude to our SAA supporters.
