Welcome to My Personal Page
Numbers always tell a story. One in eight people know someone who is directly or indirectly affected by cancer. In 2020 I became one of the eight affected by cancer.
I’m doing this, to make a difference. I lost my mom to leukemia. Cancer does not discriminate. Cancer does not care about race, gender or creed. Cancer does not care if you’re rich or poor. Cancer does not care if you’re young or old.
My mom lived 66 years without having anything more than a common cold. Leukemia took her from us within 2 years.
What I’m doing! I am raising funds for cancer research. For your efforts in helping me raise my pledge, I will complete a one mile open water swim.
Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
I joined Swim Across America, because I want to do my part. I’m not a doctor or scientist but I’ve been a competitive swimmer for years. Swimming is my way of honoring my mother and countless others who have lost their lives to cancer or who are battling it.
I’m asking for your support. I have set out to raise $3,000 for Swim Across America. I am looking to far surpass my pledge
