In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. We joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. We are challenging ourselves by swimming in the Sound to Cove Open Water Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as we can. Please support us by sponsoring our swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. 

Last year we participated in a fundraiser for Swim Across America, a charity event that fundraises money toward cancer research and many cancer centers in the tristate area. Our team, TRI-ing to Beat Cancer, raised over $19,000! We had 16 participants from various age groups on our team. 

We would like to take the time to thank our roster of Trident swimmers, coaches and alumni who swam last year: Shannon Brewi, James Callaghan, James Curran, Kerry Curran, Joseph Dalton, Klevis Dauti, Gabriel Delacruz, John Liu, Courtney Moane, Sofia Mykytenko, Peter Poggioli and Andrew Wu.

This is our fifth year where we will participate as a team and I would love to get as many involved in this wonderful cause as possible. We welcome all who are interested in participating in the event. We even need kayak and land volunteers! Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
