This is the 22nd year of swimming in Glen Cove, Long Island. I am one of the captains of the team, Glen Cove CARES, a group of lifelong friends who have been volunteering for the last 22 years. We are cooking, praying, walking, swimming, and receiving chemo treatments. Our efforts raise awareness of this dreaded disease and make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer here and now!
