In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I would read that statistic one more time and really absorb its impact. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that. I will be participating in this one-mile swim alongside my determined and kindhearted Bryant Swimming teammates and all the other wonderful participants and volunteers at this event. 

I am choosing to enter into the medical field after college to better the quality of life and healthcare of every unique and wonderful person across the world. I truly believe that cancer will be cured in my lifetime. Swim Across America is an extraordinary opportunity to work towards that goal while I am still in school. Just the same, it is the perfect opportunity for all others to give back to a greater cause to see such a positive change in our world today, curing cancer. No one person is going to do it, WE ALL have to work towards this goal!!!
