In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.  

Cancer has touched numerous people in my life. It has affected people in my immediate family including my older sister Alexa. She showed a lot of courage, and was able to beat cancer twice at the young age of 8 months as well as 4 years old. I participate in Swim Across America for her. I hope to raise money for cancer research so that other families can be as lucky as mine.
