Rhode Island Open Water Swim

SwimRI is a social network and Masters swim team consisting of recreational and competitive swimmers and their family and friends. Each of us loves swimming, values health and wellbeing, and has a personal reason for fundraising in support of cancer research, prevention and treatment.

In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. One way or another, we all eventually feel the effects of this disease ourselves or on those we love.

We have created this SwimRI fundraising team to encourage participation in and support of the 2019 Swim Across America Rhode Island Open Water Swim. This year's event is taking place on Saturday, September 7th, at scenic Roger Wheeler Beach in the beautiful town of Narragansett.

Anyone is welcome to join and/or support our fundraising team so that, together, we can positively impact the search to find a cure for this pervasive disease. Our goal is to raise as much money as we can and have some fun in the process. Last year's Swim saw over 600 swimmers and volunteers turn out for this important cause.

Please support our SwimRI team's participation in this year's Swim by making a financial donation, volunteering to help and/or participating in the Swim as part of our team. Every contribution counts, no matter how big or small, and will directly benefit cancer research, prevention and treatment at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island.

You can make an online credit card donation here by clicking on a SwimRI team member's name, or you can mail a check made out to "Swim Across America" to Swim Across America, c/o Kitty Tetreault, 30 Bullard St, Walpole, MA 02081. Please include a note mentioning the name of the SwimRI team swimmer or volunteer you're supporting.

Thank you for your generosity. May it ultimately lead to a cancer-free world!
