In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. We joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. We are challenging ourselves by swimming in the Rhode Island Open Water Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as we can. Please support us by sponsoring our swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
UConn Women's Swim & Dive team is a new member of the Team Impact family. Team Impact is a national nonprofit organization that pairs children facing serious and chronic illnesses with college athletic teams. Through this program, we have been fortunate enough to gain our newest member, Meredith Ross. Merry is a spunky and fearless 10-year old who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2012 and is currently in remission. We are proud and humbled to have her as a teammate, and we have and will continue to learn so much from her courage and fortitude. We are honored to swim in her name this year and to raise money for research so that others can share the same success story as Merry's.
