Welcome to My Personal Page
By now we all know someone that has been affected by cancer.
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. Hearing the words you have cancer can be paralyzing for the patient, families and friends. One of the worst affects is the feeling that you can’t do anything about it. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.
In 2022 I am swimming in eleven SAA events across the country to help raise funds that continue to find better treatments, diagnosis and even cures. Immunotherapy, personalized medicine, gene sequencing, detection and survivorship programs all were created and are being improved with your donations. This event will benefit UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco Survivors of Childhood Cancer Program. If you are able, please support me by making a gift.
The researchers we are funding are in this community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives. Thank you for helping make an impact in the fight to find a cure!
Yours in this battle,
Rob McLaren
