First Attempt 10 Mile Solo Swim | Sat June 10th! | Swimming 10 Miles for a $10K Impact - Let's Make Waves Together!

This year, I'm diving into the biggest swimming challenge of my life, and I couldn't be more excited (and nervous). The Bay to Breakers 10-mile SOLO swim surpasses anything I've ever attempted, including swimming the English Channel and Catalina Island as part of relays. It's a solo endeavor that pushes me mentally and physically beyond my limits, surpassing anything I've ever attempted.
To prepare for this epic swim, I had to conquer the notorious 5 Coves of Death - a grueling swim around Aquatic Park. With the support of my swim pod, I powered through freezing 54-degree waters, completing the challenge within three hours.
I'm one of the 18 selected participants out of 44 qualified swimmers, and I'm embarking on an intense training regimen to prepare for the swim. Safety is paramount, and I'll have a dedicated kayaker by my side throughout the journey. The final leg of the swim, outside the Golden Gate Bridge, is the most difficult, with 4 miles of open ocean navigating back eddies and 10-12 foot swells. Exiting at Ocean Beach demands precision and coordination with the Surf Angels, adding an extra layer of challenge to this incredible endeavor.
As a first-time Co-Event Director for SF SAA, I've witnessed the incredible impact that SAA has had on pediatric cancer research and support over the past 20 years. I feel incredibly fortunate and blessed to have this opportunity to swim for such an important cause. As I embark on this 10-mile swim, I am reminded of the strength and health that allows me to take on this challenge when so many others cannot.
Together, let's make a splash and create a lasting impact. Join me in fundraising for Swim Across America, and let's make a difference one stroke at a time. By donating, you'll be contributing to the fight against pediatric cancer and bringing hope to countless children and families in need. Your generosity and support mean the world to me. Any donation amount is appreciated, and your support means the world to me.
