Dear Friends and Family,

It’s our 11th year raising funds for Swim Across America! I love participating in this annual event, to honor our friends and family impacted by cancer and support UCSF’s pediatric cancer programs!

2023's San Francisco Swim Across America Open Water Swim will be held on September 30th.  Since I’m not an open water swimmer, I’ll volunteer instead at the registration area at Little Marina Green that morning.

All donations benefit UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital’s pediatric cancer research and survivorship programs. I’ve personally toured the SF survivorship center with Dr Goldsby, and discussed the Oakland research labs efforts with Dr Saba. They both have dedicated their careers to improving cancer outcomes for kids, and appreciate our annual support.

This year you've again been incredibly generous! Together we've raised over $6,200, and with several matching donations processing should pass $7,000 for the second straight year! I’ve personally donated $500 this year, and have given an additional $100 for every $1,000 we've collectively raised.

As an additional thank you for donating, I’ll recognize your friends & family members impacted by cancer on the back of my SAA t-shirt. Last year we honored seventy seven of them! This year, I’ve added several names of those recently diagnosed with cancer, and will dedicate my fundraising efforts to them.
