Welcome to Susan Mayfield's Personal Page
Happy End of Summer! After quite a few years away from this event, I am again swimming 2 miles with Swim Across America in Seattle on September 9th. SAA raises money nationally for cancer research and treatment and locally supports Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.
I'm swimming the event with my Sand Point "adult" group on Team TBD. I always swim in memory of my Dad, Neville Johnson, who passed away from stomach cancer in 2002. My Dad was an avid swim parent and supporter of the sport. And this year, one of our team member's husband is battling brain cancer - so our team is also swimming in their honor.
If you are interested and able, I'd love your support...every little bit helps. Thank you for helping me #MakeWavesToFightCancer!
(Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.)
