I'll be back in the open waters this September to swim for cancer research and raise money for the Fred Hutch.   

The first time I swam this open water course, I was literally on the heels of my dear friend Susanne the entire two miles!  I was scared I would get lost or see a fish.  She was my anchor and inspiration (and early morning ride to the lake).  Last year I swam to find a cure for her husband who continues to battle brain cancer.  Every year, cancer & SCCA comes closer and closer to our loved ones.  We are thankful that the Fred Hutch continues to research cancer for future treatment options.

This year I am swimming to honor my girl friends that have beaten breast cancer in the last three years.  They are courageous, strong and resilient.  We are SO fortunate to have SCCA in our backyard and these moms have all relied on the expertise and innovative treatments of the SCCA.
