I made it through a second winter of swimming in Lake Washington, thanks to my swim partner, Knox Gardner. I swim for all of the people who have survived cancer: my spouse, Mindy Schaberg, my dear friends: Elizabeth Keener, Carrie Walker Nouse, Lisa Canini and too many other to count.
