I've joined Swim Across America in memory of my mother, who I lost to cancer right before the start of the COVID pandemic. She got my three brothers and I into swimming, as it was the only way to tire us out and give her some sanity in the house! Swimming has become a huge part of my life, and it was all thanks to her. Any contribution I can make for research to help someone's mother or any relative fight this disease is my way of giving back to what my mother gave me.

Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
