Help me swim!
If you found yourself on this website then you already know I like the water. It turns out that in order to qualify for the big open water events (like swimming in the Chicago River next year) I have to get a few of these regional races under my belt. That's where you can come in to help me!
Part of my participation in these swims is fundraising. Athletes in my category have a minimum fundraising goal which I am trying to beat by raising $3,000. The fundraising is managed by Swim Across America. For this event all proceeds will go to the Fred Hutch Cancer Center to support immunotherapy clinical trials. Race day for me is September 7 with no fundraising deadline that I can find. Anything will help me get to my goal :)
Here is some information Swim Across America would like you to know and that I decided not to delete:
"Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
I joined Swim Across America because I believe in their mission and want to help give more families hope. If you are able, please support me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal.
Thank you for helping me #MakeWavesToFightCancer."
