Hey there it’s 2022!
We are back again and coming out of a tough couple of years. Swim Across America Seattle will be at Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island on September 10th and will be better than ever.
April 24 marked the 6th anniversary of losing my oldest son Matthew to cancer. Over eight years ago it was my wife of 30 years Kalany. Friends of the team Mark Prothero, Martin Regge, Don McCandless and recently Charlie Van Zant have since lost their lives to cancer. It touches all of us.
This year we are honoring MaryBell Benoit who recently passed and our friend Josh Fishkin who is fignting the fight!!
TEAM BENOIT was formed by Matthew and his friends to support Seattle Cancer Care Alliance through participating in a fundraising event Called Swim Across America. The Seattle swim is done every year in Lake Washington. Since Matthews death the team he started has raised over $700,000 going to fund research and projects at SCCA and Fred Hutch that might not get funding.
Please consider joining our team to help us raise funds towards cancer research here locally. If you’ve never swam in a lake I think it’s time. We have had many people who never thought they would do it join us and enjoy it immensely. If you need help, I will help you. We promise a great morning swim and a heck of a pickleball tournament in the afternoon. You can join our team or support our cause here:

See you in the lake!
Dan
