Swim Across America St. Louis has become a family event. I swam in 2017, in 2018, my son Jack, joined me, and in 2019, my husband, Mark, and son Wyatt swam as well. This year, I am going the distance and making waves in a new way in the SAA St. Louis Go the Distance Challenge.
In July of 2005, my mom was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. She went through various treatments and surgeries, but it was not enough- she was 56 years old. There are far too many stories of lives cut short due to cancer.
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. This year I am joining others in the SAA community to go the distance as we make waves to fight. Donations you give will go towards cancer research, prevention, and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. I have been humbled by the generosity of my friends and family, thank you, and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
You can make a credit card donation here, or send a check to Swim Across America - St. Louis, PO Box 490, O'Fallon, IL 62269.
Checks should be made out to Swim Across America but please include a note mentioning my name as the swimmer you are supporting.
