Welcome to My Personal Page
As a 3 time cancer survivor and determined Meadowbrook swimmer, Iris did not hesitate to support our SAA Baltimore inaugural pool swim in 2010. She continued to swim the event up to 2016, at age 86, raising a total of $8,369 during that 7 year period. Though she was not required to swim a mile, she refused to do any less. In 2017, she decided to volunteer at the open water event since she didn't feel strong enough to complete a mile swim. Thereafter, she generously contributed to the fundraising efforts of other swimmers. She continued to swim at Meadowbrook until her hospitialization in April 2023. She was a much loved member of our Meadowbrook community and an inspiration to us all.
This page was set up to honor Iris and her commitment to supporting cancer research, prevention and treatment, and making an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
