In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. Again this year, I have joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can try to change that. This cause is personal to me. I lost my oldest and dearest childhood friend this past fall after he had struggled through cancer treatments and surgeries for several years. I have numerous other friends and relatives who have survived cancer because they had access to effective medical treatment, and sadly I've lost numerous friends and relatives to the disease. 

For an 8th year in a row, I will be swimming a mile in The Baltimore Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. Please support me by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention, and treatment at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.
